Main aim of the charity
Pinkertons is proud to support the Childrens Ward at Great Western Hospital, Swindon. Each year we hold multiple fund raising events to buy toys & gifts for children who will be in hospital during the Christmas holidays.
Since 1992, we have organised an annual 'Toy Run', for local Bikers & Trikers to help us deliver gifts to the Hospital and bring a smile to the childrens faces.
How the employee got involved and why
Pinkertons had celebrated its 30th annual Toy Run in 2021. I joined the club in 2019 so am a fairly recent member. The reason I do it is there are children who will spend Christmas in Hospital it provides them with a gift and cheers them up to see Santa it also helps to provide much needed resources for our local children’s ward.
What work does the employee do for charity
I am a member of a local motorcycle club called Pinkertons. Every year we hold various fund raising events usually by means of holding a static motorcycle display within the main shopping centre where accept cash donations. We use the monies raised to purchase gifts for the children’s ward at the local hospital. Many of these children are terminally ill.
