To Identify & support students who are unable to spend money for the education.

How the employee got involved and why

Initially, I started this charity with my friend by purchasing book sets for four students for 2021, and it made me realize that there are many students who need support for their education. I was able to donate booksets for 115 students for 2022, and my friends supported me a lot to fund this project. The school principal and their teachers supported me to identify the student's need to support their education. According to the information I received from the principal and their teachers, they have identified that there are 110 students who need support to buy the book sets for the next year. With the current situation in Sri Lanka, it will not an easy task to buy book sets for 110 students as we need to spend three or four times more to buy stationaries since the price of stationaries has been gone up these days.

What work does the employee do for charity

There is a School in Kegalle District (Ranjan Wijayarathna Maha Vidyalaya – Panawala) and most of their students need support to buy the booklist for the next year since their parents are not in a position to spend money to buy the book set due to the current inflation in Sri Lanka. At the movement, there are 110 students who need support to buy the book sets for the next year.
