HOW DHL’S GOT HEART WORKS

How the competition works

The process is the same for all countries except China, where there is one big difference: entries go straight from approval to the Regional Selection Committee, missing out Stage 2: Country Winners. For more information please see the step-by-step process for China entries below.

Stage 1: Entries

Entrants must fill in the online entry form and upload their video and/or photographs by November 5 and await approval.

Stage 2: Country Winners

Approved entries are then judged by a Country Selection Committee. They select one winner per country to go through to the next stage. Country judging (excluding China) will take place between  November 25 – December 2.

Stage 3: Regional Winners

Entries that have reached this stage are judged by a Regional Selection Committee. Regional judging takes place between January 4 – January 7.

From each region, five winners are selected. Regional Winners will be announced on January 10.
The five winners per region are visited by a film crew to create a film about them, and their acts of kindness, charitable cause or volunteering/fundraising work.

Stage 4: The Regional Finals

All Regional Winners are invited to their Regional Final, which will be hosted at their respective Employee of The Year (EOY) event. The films are shown, the Regional Winners are celebrated, and they have the opportunity to win a share of the prize fund. EOY events are scheduled to take place in March and April 2022.
