Quinto Ogwal stole the hearts of DHL colleagues last year when he told us about Hope Christian School, a foundation set up by him and his Fiancé, Phiona. After being chosen as 1st place Winner for our Sub Saharan Africa Region last year, we visited Quinto to learn more about his amazing story…
When visiting the village of Dokolo in 2013, Quinto and his fiancé Phiona, were shocked by the displacement and destruction that the insurgency in Northern Uganda had left behind. Quinto wanted to help the community, and more specifically children, returning from camps to recover and resettle: “I found some many children on the streets and as a young man, I felt like I should do something. I felt like filling the gap”. Together, Quinto and Phiona set up Hope Christian School, where they educate and support local children. We discovered more about their inspiring story when we visited Uganda last year…
