These terms and conditions relate to your application to participate in a competiton entitled “DHL’s Got Heart”. By submitting an entry to ‘DHL’s Got Heart’, entrants agree to these T&Cs both for themselves, and on behalf of any other members of a group entry which they are making.

Entrants must be at least 18 years old on the day their entry is submitted.

Entrants must be employed by, or under contract with, DHL on the date of entry. Regional Winners must plan to still be so employed or contracted on 31 July 2021, as DHL may wish to follow up with winners post-competition.

Regional Winners may require a passport or visa to attend the Regional Final in their Region.

Entrants must be actively engaged with volunteering/fundraising activities on an ongoing basis for a charitable cause. The entrants’ activities must have taken place within the year preceding the entry (i.e. from 15 September 2019). Activities may have started before this date, but must have continued after it, in an ongoing manner.

A person may not submit more than one entry, whether individually or as part of a group.

All personal details and/or information given in your application, either in this form or otherwise, must be truthful, accurate and in no way misleading.

DHL reserves the right to disqualify you if you have supplied untruthful, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information, have failed to abide by the rules, and/or are in breach of the terms hereof.

DHL is completely free to decide whether activities count as charitable causes or not. However certain rules will always apply. They MUST NOT be for profit, fraudulent or involved in illegal activities. They must not harm DHL's reputation, or represent a breach of DHL’s policies or values.

A cause cannot be an individual person.

An entry cannot glorify the use of alcohol, drugs, weapons or pornography, or support political groups/parties. Nor can an entry discriminate against race, age, sex, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, political orientation or national origin.

Entrants having received a donation from DHL will need to prove that it has been used for the charitable cause only. Otherwise, entrants will have to return the donation to DHL.

If DHL is prevented for any reason from being able to make a donation to the charitable cause chosen by the winner, then another charitable cause may be mutually agreed with the winner.

Entries should be made online at www.dhlsgotheart.com. The competition opens on Tuesday 15 September 2020, 09:00 CET (Central European Time) and the deadline for entries is Monday 19 October 2020, 23:59 CET (Central European Time).

Any entries received after the closing date and time will not be considered.

All personal details and/or information submitted in the form or otherwise (such as in any uploaded video or photograph) must be truthful, accurate and in no way misleading.

DHL does not accept any responsibility for any technical failure or malfunction, or any other problem with any online entry, system, server, provider or otherwise, which may result in entries not being properly received.

If you are experiencing problems with the online entry form or have any other questions related to the competition, please contact the DGH team by email at info@dhlsgotheart.com.

If applying as a group, the names and details of all group members must be provided in the same, single entry.

Groups should have a maximum of 15 members per entry. Groups with more than 15 members should contact info@dhlsgotheart.com for further information.

All group members must be DHL employees and conform to the employment requirements as outlined in these T&Cs. If a group includes members who leave DHL before 31 July 2021, the entry will not be rejected as long as other group members continue to be employed.

If an entry involves more than one member, and the group is invited to attend the Regional Final at their respective Employee of the Year ('EOY') event, a single member must be nominated by the group to attend.

Each entry must include a minimum of one up to a maximum of five video(s)/ photograph(s).

Video entries should be no longer than 1min 30secs and no larger than 100MB in size. The following file types are accepted: P4, WebM, FLV, MOV, OGV, 3GP, 3G2, WMV, MPEG, FLV, MKV and AVI.

All mandatory fields within the form must be completed.

Files which contain viruses or other harmful programs must not be transferred.

Videos/photographs must not misrepresent the charitable volunteering/fundraising activities undertaken.

Videos/photographs must not contain any material which is in any way defamatory, obscene, unlawful, harmful, offensive, inappropriate, or infringes the rights of any third party.

Entrants must not endanger themselves or others, or take any unnecessary risks in order to make their video/take their photograph(s). Participation is, however, at entrants' own risk and DHL does not accept any liability for loss, damage or injury during the filming of the video/photography shoot.

Videos/photographs may be accepted or rejected at the sole discretion of DHL. These terms do not guarantee that a video/photograph will be used or displayed in any way.

The express consent of all people appearing in the video/photograph must have been obtained by the entrants for the video/photograph to be used for the purposes outlined in these T&Cs, prior to its uploading. In case of minors, the express consent has to be obtained from the guardian.

Entrants acknowledge that the contents of submitted videos/photographs will not be treated as confidential but may be used as set out in these T&Cs, the copyright & granting rights declaration and the data privacy information.
